WHATS IN THE BAG: SWEDE AND CROWE

After winning a voucher for the Henry store, I decided to purchase two locally made items #heartLOCAL. I saw some really cool five panel caps, but these two were my fave and made by the ever growing brand that is Swede & CROWE. Swede and CROWE are based in JHB and have quite a few stockists. I first learned about them while shopping at THE LOT.  They have plenty of fun and quirky designs, and because of the design, I love that no two printed panels are the same. What makes this brand even hotter, is that the front peak isnt too long and the fit is superb... even on a girl (We gotsta look BADASS too!) 

However, it doesn't end there! Swede and CROWE also make shoes, shorts and shirts. It looks absolutely amaaaaazing when its all worn together! Been  keeping tabs on their Facebook page, and the summer range looks just as "BADASS!" Totallaaay inlove with the shoes and cant wait to see their Pork Pie Hat in stores! #JHITS

Since this is an addiction and I simply can not get enough, I had to had to had to return to Henry and purchase this badboy. It's the Legion Cap. Something totally different, yet so fly! #LOVE

HENRY.

I spotted a little shoppee a few months back while out clubbing with some friends. I had never noticed it before, but that night, I just chilled in front of the store's window trying to spot something cool, it look so intriguing! When  I returned to Henry a few days later, to have a look at what the store was about, I was quite impressed. Its raw walls showcase some pretty awesome pictures of friends! Housing fashion from SA, Denmark & London, including their own brand, Modern Geeks! Their clothing is definitely something different but oh so brilliantly unique!

As luck would have it, Work's Kak were running one of their usual competions to win a R400 store voucher, and of course I entered! Its always lovely to win things, nothing like a good free rand ninety nine purchase! Needless to say, I was tooootally stoked on winning! So... I was quite happy to return to the store again!

#CREATIVEUNION #TBT

 

Hope everyone's excited as for the next episode of #CreativeUnion as I am! The first episode was so cool! It was edited suuuuuper nice, all love to Callback Dreams for all the hard work! Extremely weird but feel so privileged  to see myself on TV in the company of some extraordinary people, love it! Keeping with the #CreativeUnion vibes, I thought it would be fitting (once again)  to do some #TBT pics! Its been quite some time since we've heard from the Loki camp. Those of you who are familiar with my blog will know that the very first post that I've ever done was on the Loki brand. Not familiar with Loki? Well they're a group of 20 something's from the Macassar area in Cape Town who built their screen printer from scratch and have been building the brand and for the last year or so. I bumped into co-owner and head designer Elton Dick on the station last week and had to take some pics! While being very reluctant to pose for pics, he let's me know that they're close to dropping their next range! Awesome! We're all patiently waiting! In the meantime, here's a look at what Elton was wearing, if this crew neck is anything to go by, I cant wait for Loki's next drop!

On the eve of the #CreativeUnion premier, I thought it would be fitting to post a few pics of my first encounters with the Play Energy Drink fam. A few months back I was informed that I was successful in a selection process to be apart of Play Energy Drinks new campaign. First on the agenda was to attend a briefing workshop in JHB. I met a lovely lady and fellow mentee Tania Pehl at the airport with her mentor and hero, the awesome Max Mogale. Such an entertaining pair! Awesome to meet all the other mentors and mentees and to start getting excited about the road ahead!

Now keeping on that Shelflife tip, they've teamed up with Kaylin Carollisen to launch a new ladies Shelflife range. The full and colourful range consists of over-sized tees and fitted crewnecks. With reference to Shelflife's blog, "Staying true to the Shelflife style, the range consists of plenty jacked logos, graffiti inspired designs as well as colourways tying up with our upcoming sneaker releases." Such a fun range, doing it for the ladies!

BRING ON SUMMER! ! ! #STAYFRESHSAT07SEPT

Haven't done this in way toooooo long! Been a while since I've done a post and what a good way to return with a post that's all Honcho'd up! This Saturday, 07 September 2013 see's the Honcho's welcoming Spring at #StayFreshSaturday . South Africa's leading street wear brand Head Honcho will be hosting their annual #StayFreshSaturday out at the beautiful Grand Africa  once again. Now this venue is nothing new to the Honcho's! We all had an amaaazing time at last years event and it was one crazy and fun night #summeronSMASH!! Im certainly positive that this year shall be no different, if not ten times better! #intheHONCHOSwetrust

The line up for the day needs no explanation at all with a total of nine DJ's looking to entertain the #HHarmy on the day PLUS a live performance from one of South Africa's most talented rappers R E A S O N. Must admit, was a tad bit saddened that Lulo Cafe will only be playing at the JHB leg of #StayFreshSaturday events, major FOMO ( M A J O R ! ! !) However, the news that the friggin awesome DJ Kenzhero will be playing again totally helped me feel a bit better! 

Tickets are selling incredibly fast so don't  sleep on purchasing those presold tickets! Check out Computicket and Shesha  to avoid dissapointment. While out at Shesha in Canal Walk, make sure you purchase one of Head Honcho's new snapbacks, they look so FRESH... DAMMIT!
