Orange and black decor laced The Vault at the Mapungubwe Hotel. Delightful bright orange Power Play welcome cocktails greeted you as you entered the venue, while an excitement atmosphere was strongly present in the room. Power Play energy drink hosted a media event on the 01 August 2013. On the night, exciting news came from of SA's favorite energy drink. Play energy drink have decided to go bigger and better this year by launching a brand new TV reality show series called #CreativeUnion on the popular DSTV channel Vuzu. The first show airs on the 27th of September 2013 (Tune in.... PLEASE! !). Play has previously hosted the Griffin Sessions where fashion, music and photography meet. Im so incredibly blessed! After going through to the interviews and completing a challenge, I have been selected to work with one of the Play heroes and now, my mentor, Nick Kaoma. There are seven heroes and seven talented mentees. Each of whom has a creative talent. I'm looking forward to the next challenge. My experience thus far has been memorable. Meeting so many creatives is so encouraging and just drives me to push even harder. There's always more work to be done!

Definitely amped as its definitely going to be an experience that I'll never forget! Have to thank all those involved with this Power Play Energy drink campaign. Its an amazing opportunity and I will be using both hands to grasp it! ! T H A N K  Y O U! ! ! Still cant believe I will be mentored by THE Nick Kaoma, damn.... *silent pause for pondering* looking forward to learning and using this to grow.

Apparently they received quite a bit of feed back with regards to the previous party and decided to throw yet another EPIC party at one of their  favorite venues, THE LOOP, Now we're all aware of the fact that HEAD HONCHO dont mess around in terms of their line up or entertainment and this party is no different. DIMPLEZ, VIGI, LYLE, CUDI and my one of my faves GROOVE AFRIKA will be doing what they do best and playing some awesome sets! I'm such a fan of local music at the moment! And a song that I loooooove listening to and singing along to is Mathew Gold feat AKA, No Ordinary Guy. Its playlisted on local radio stations and gets quite a bit of airplay. It's so mellow and easy on the ears!  The music video is just as smooth as the track, check the dapper looking gentlemen doing their thang HERE. *fans self* Mathew's quite a cuuutie!

 Whats also quite cool is that SA's hip hop prince, AKA, also features on the track. Nice to hear AKA on a chilled out vibe. AKA is featuring on quite a few other local tracks these days.   Always awesome to see local musicians collaborating with others... definitely encouraging growth!

As I've posted before, the HONCHO'S are going iiiin this Saturday at #DimesandHonchos29June. They're taking over two cities in one night and it's all happening at the vibey Chez Temba. What I love about Honcho paties is how many people attend and most importantly looking fresh. #proper

AIN'T NO PARTY LIKE A HONCHO PARTY COZ A HONCHO PARTY DONT STOP! #DIMESANDHONCHOS29JUNE

Its that time of the season again when the Honcho's come out to play. This time is sure to be an absolute smasher of party. Two parties, two cities, one night! TWO CITIES!!!!!! HEAD HONCHO decided to raise the bench mark yet again and host two parties in one night! So the JHB and CPT Honcho's are in for a pearler of a night!

Now why the party you may ask? Not that the Honcho's need an excuse to throw a party, but their new winter range has hit stores and its definitely a reason to party! Not much info has been released on the DJ line up for the cities, however I happened to spot a  Head Honcho tweet that mentions "Catch FrankySA DJFanaticSA DJSPEEDSTA DJCapital90 DJLoyd DJ_Lyle & VjVybez all @ #DimesandHonchos JHB & CT" Well to be frank, if the sets are anything like the previous DJ's such as Naves and Spec at Trinity (see deets HERE ) I'm sure this line up in both cities  is sure to bang! #intheHONCHOSwetrust.

Its all going down at Chez Temba both in Cape Town and Johannesburg this Saturday the 29 June 2013. What I love about going to Chez Temba is the live video mixing. Always gets the toes going! The Honcho's have also managed to get Ciroc on board as a sponsor  and the first 100 Dimes (Honcho ladies) receive a Ciroc cocktail on arrival. FUN!

ERRRRYBODY LOVE ERRRRYBODY #LOVEALL #throwbackTHURSDAY

It was a chilled Tuesday evening. The date was 30th April 2013. Love ALL seemed to be THE party to be at that night, the next day of course was a public holiday. Cape Town peeps came out in packs to show tons of love to the party that has been happening for the last few years and seems like its getting better party after party! Hundreds of music lovers united under one roof and even though there was a bit of a queue to get in, it was well worth the wait.

This one was definately one to remember! One of the most well attended parties I've been to! Its also suuuuper awesome to see how the party and DJ's have grown from its young days when it was hosted in Claremont back in the day. It's definately a party where errrybody is just there to jam and have a good time! I'm almost certain that a few (including me) cried when the party ended early, due to Zille's new alcohol laws! None the less though, it was an awesomely packed party! I had a blast !

I happened to be wearing one of my happily coloured vests, a MiLi Jo Sousies vest, paired with a high waisted shorts and some good 'ol chucks. How fun is the Sousies vest though? Looooove! #heartLOCAL A happy vest, an awesome vibe, makes a top draw kind of an evening!

HONCHO WINTER!

I am an avid HEAD HONCHO fan! Needless to say I am tooootally looking forward to their winter range. They teased their followers over last week with some fresh looking pics from their latest range. It definitely got some hype going around on Twitter and Facebook! Yesterday, the good news was confirmed on their website that their winter range first drop has already been released and Shesha and Sportscene stores are now stocked with these fresh looking threads. 

Now, I haven't heard much from the Honcho camp with regard to their ladies winter range, so fingers crossed that they have something planned a little bit later in the season. Otherwise, I may even purchase one of these gorgeous looking gents pieces! Enjoy the pictures, they're taken from the Head Honcho website.

According to their website, the next drop is in June *eeeeeeexcitement,* peep this ---> "The next drop hits stores first week of June and will include pull-over and zip-up hoodies, more crewnecks, tees, jackets, beanies and snapbacks." Who doesn't love a good beanie in winter, so I'm really keen on seeing what the honcho's have come up design wise.
